Lord Krishna (often depicted blue in color) is one of the most commonly worshipped deities in the Hindu faith. He is known for his bravery in destroying evil.

In this scene he shown together with Radha, his childhood friend and lover.

Radha was one of the gopis ( cow herding girls) of the forest of Vrindavan and since childhood they had been close, hoping to spend eternity together. Life pulled t

hem apart and she remained ever vigilant in the wait. So great was her love for Krishna that even today her name is spoken whenever Krishna is referred to- Krishna worship is thought to be incomplete without the deification of Radha.

The Jukurrpa (Dreaming) is associated with a place called Jaralypari, north of Yuendumu. Lukarrara is a species of Fimbristylis, a grass that bears edible seeds in the winter time. The seeds are traditionally ground on a large stone (puturlu) with a smaller stone (ngalikirri) to make flour. This flour is mixed with water (ngapa) to make small seed cakes.
